Today, detergents and cleaning products have to fulfil many tasks at the same time: In most cases, in addition to the primary effects (cleaning), many important secondary effects are also in focus, such as the streak-free drying of floor cleaners.
At the same time, the development pressure is moving towards ever lower rinsing and washing temperatures. Naturally, consumers expect products to deliver satisfactory results even under these energy-saving conditions.
The experts at SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS test whether detergents and cleaning products meet these requirements in our laboratories in Taunusstein and Wiesbaden with consumer-relevant application tests.
Our tests are mostly based on the methods of the IKW (Industrieverband Körperpflege- und Waschmittel e. V. - Industrial Association for Personal Hygiene and Detergents) or on SGS-internal methods, which focus on practical relevance, reproducibility, differentiability between test products and the simplest possible implementation.
In short: how consumers do their laundry at home, do the dishes or clean their floors; we simulate all this in our comparative performance tests in our laboratories.
