Investigations for raw materials and straight feeding stuffs

In order to be able to use feedstuffs in a targeted manner, knowledge of their composition is indispensable. Concrete information about the nutrient composition and the energetic evaluation requires an analysis of the single feeds or the rations/mixtures.

We offer nutrient analysis of single and compound feeds. From the analyzed nutrients the energetic feed value of the feeds can be determined according to the valid feed law.

In addition to the analysis of the ingredients, our range of tests also includes the analysis of pollutants, microbial contamination, genetically modified organisms and undesirable residues and ingredients.

Extract from our services for raw materials and straight feeding stuffs

We examine grass and grass products (hay, silage), maize and maize products (incl. silage), cereals and cereal products (incl. silage), lucerne (incl. silage), protein feeds (rapeseed and soy products) and mineral feeds for these parameters:

  • Basic chemical analysis: dry matter, crude ash, crude protein, crude fiber, crude fat, energy content, sugars and starch.
  • minerals, vitamins and amino acids
  • Complex plant analysis
  • Screening, identification and quantification of genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
  • Analysis for mycotoxins (DON, ZEA, fumonisins, aflatoxins, etc.)
  • contaminants and residues: mycotoxins, PCB, pesticide residues, heavy metals
  • microbiological examinations: Pathogenic germs, total germ count and spoilage agents (e.g. yeasts and molds).
  • additional examinations: Minerals, carotene, pure protein, DCAB value
  • Determination of ensiling success: fermentation acids, pH-value, ammonia
  • Amino acid composition: Our laboratories, accredited according to ISO 17025, carry out the determination of amino acids according to the classical methods of VO(EG) 152/2009 and VDLUFA. Highly efficient proprietary methods complete the profile.
    • Amino acids that can be determined: alanine, arginine, asparagine, aspartic acid, cyst(e)in, gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA), glutamine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, hydroxylysine, hydroxyproline, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, ornithine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, taurine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine, valine
